Copyediting

Whatever type of writing you’ve created, I can be an extra pair of trained eyes for your work. Copyediting comes after you’re finished with your written work, when you’re ready to perfect it before it goes to publishing. I often step in after a developmental editor. I’ll help you produce written work that’s clear, coherent, consistent, correct, and powerful!

I’ll check a sample to help, talk to you about exactly what you want, and give you a project estimate. When I edit, your manuscript will be given a thorough pass before I send it back for you to accept and reject suggestions and changes. We’ll be in close communication throughout the work. At the end, I’ll give it a second complete pass and give you a final copy.

Editing the front and back matter and promotional material is highly important too, and is available separately.

Prices for editing vary according to the type of writing, subject, and length, and follow the EFA rate guidelines. A deposit is required at the beginning of the project and partial payments can be made throughout it. We’ll be in contact throughout the editing process to make the final result as perfect as possible!
